PRESIDENT’S REPORT I love meeting with alumni. I wish there was some way to capture all the stories and pass them on to you. They remind me why the work of Goshen College is so important. I delight in hearing how so many of our alums are engaged in an amazing array of assignments literally around the globe. Hearing from alums also reminds me of the centrality of our Christ-centered core values of passionate learning, servant leadership, compassionate peacemaking and global citizenship. I marvel at how they find their way into the hearts and minds of students. I am even more amazed at how they transform homes, classrooms, offices, board rooms, pulpits, surgical suites … the list goes on and on. Your gifts make this possible. I am especially humbled and honored to say “thank you” for giving during a time of financial volatility. For those who could not give or had to reduce their gift, I remain incredibly grateful for your commitment to Goshen College. HONORING THOSE WHO GIVE Goshen College Giving Clubs The tradition of giving clubs took root at Goshen College in the 1960s, when a group of donors decided to begin giving $1,000 annually to the Goshen College Fund. Five separate clubs now support the GC Fund. These “unrestricted” gifts support every student and department on campus and allow the college to respond to needs as they arise. The combined giving power of GC giving club members is truly phenomenal, whether they join the Builders at a minimum gift of $1 a day or the President’s Circle at $25,000 per year or more. We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of all these friends of Goshen College.
