Graduation Plans Impact incoming freshman students Foundation State – Minimum 22 Credits Foundation SISD – Minimum 23 Credits Endorsement State – Minimum 26 Credits Endorsement SISD – Minimum 26-29 Credits (Dependent on Endorsement and Pathway selected) Distinguished Level of Achievement State – Minimum 26 Credits Distinguished Level of Achievement SISD – Minimum 26-29 Credits Performance Acknowledgements – List to be finalized by the state

Develop Graduation Requirements Update Programs of Study (Endorsement) Evaluate teacher needs and program limitations Eighth grade students verify their Program of Study (POS) and Endorsement area (CCRP) Conduct parent information nights at each middle school Provide high school campuses with official signed TAP with endorsement area for their incoming ninth grade students Each high school will develop a process for ensuring all incoming ninth grade students have a signed TAP on file prior to completion of registration Provide continual training for students, administrators, counselors and teachers on the new graduation requirements Each high school will develop a process for admitting incoming ninth grade students to each of their programs to ensure completion of endorsements campus wide. Ensure each program does not admit beyond capacity

Technology in conjunction with CTE and Counseling Services develop an online registration based on students intent/Texas Achievement Plan (TAP). Technology in conjunction with CTE and Counseling Services will develop an electronic auditing tool to ensure students successfully complete their individualized graduation plan. Develop Financial Literacy course to be required of all tenth grades students Develop a Business English course to be taught at the ninth grade year for those students struggling in ELA to incorperate Implement new courses as the state releases them to include Digital Forensics, Discrete Math, Improve process for providing CTED courses to students with special needs Increase the number of CTED coherent sequence courses
Recommended – Distinguished Endorsement Plan SISD Four Math – Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II & Pre Calculus / (Math Models/Discrete Math) (STEM – 5 Math or 5 Science) • Four English – English I, II, III & Fourth English • Four Science – Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Choice • Four Social Studies – World Geography, World History, US History & Government/Economics • One Fine Arts • Two Languages other than English • One and one half credits Physical Education • One half credit Speech • One half credit Health • One credit Technology • One half credit Financial Literacy • Four Endorsement Credits (One of which could be counted through another requirement area to include Science, Math, Technology Credit or Fine Arts)ex.
