Midwest Region of the Progressive National Baptist Convention Inc. Reverend Elmer M. LeSure, Vice President at Large, Midwest Region Deacon Lamont H. Young Sr., Vice President at Large, Laymen’s Department Sub-theme: “Laymen, Meditating on the Word of God” ~ Psalm 1:1-2 February 10, 2015
I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As you may know, our Progressive National Baptist Convention Inc. 52 nd Annual Session is rapidly approaching and will be held on April 6 - April 10, 2015. I hope everyone will join me in attending this event with enthusiasm, excitement, and prayerful hearts. I am excited that God has allowed me to be part of this Midwest region and more importantly this “Laymen’s movement.” We, the Laymen’s department, say thank you to all of our pastors and their congregations who make up this great Midwest region. We salute you, knowing that our session would not be successful without your counsel, moral, and financial support. The Laymen’s department will kick-off the week with our “Street Ministry” which is our witnessing event. We welcome anyone in our convention with open arms to participate with us in this soul-searching endeavor. Laymen, let us be intentional in our work for the harvest is plenteous but the labors are few. My prayer is that God will continue to shower His blessings upon us through our churches and the Midwest region and that He will get all of the glory, honor, and praise due him. Strengthening my brother, Lamont H. Young Sr. Deacon Lamont H. Young Sr. Vice President at Large Laymen’s Department

Turner, IN As a disciple of Christ, prayer is essential and provides the opportunity to gain new strengths, new insights, and new affirmations on your daily journey with God. This class will help you to enhance your prayer life and order your steps by joining others in journaling, developing daily prayer concerns, and techniques to strengthen your prayer life.
141.7 Varieties of Music in the Black Church Instructor: Bro. Wayne Evans, MO All church music should foster a meaningful worship setting within the Christian fellowship.
