Accelerated Programs Accelerated Programs allow Pre: Dentistry, Pharmacy, Podiatry, and Physical Therapy students the option of earning both their Bachelor of Arts and Graduate degrees in a shorter period of time after successfully passing all courses in the first year of professional school.

Application Process Interested candidates must submit an online application to Temple University as well as an application to the Accelerated Program available through the Pre-Professional Health Studies’ website. Applicants can apply before they enter Temple University (March 1st deadline). Students also have the option to apply any time during the first semester of their freshman year (December 15th deadline).

Accelerated Program Selection Requirements  

Four years of high school math and science High School GPA of 3.75 or higher (no grade less than 80 or B)

Dentistry (3-year Bachelor’s + 4-year DMD) To earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Kornberg School of Dentistry, Accelerated Program students must meet the following minimum requirements:     

90 course credits as detailed under the agreement A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.4 A science GPA of 3.4 DAT score as specified by TU-KSOD Volunteer exposure to the health care profession

Pharmacy (3-year Bachelor’s + 4-year PharmD) To earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Temple University School of Pharmacy, Accelerated Program students must meet the following minimum requirements:     

90 course credits as detailed under the agreement A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 An undergraduate science GPA of 3.0 PCAT score as specified by TUSOP Volunteer exposure to the health care profession

Physical Therapy (3-year Bachelor’s + 3-year DPT)

Podiatry (3-year Bachelor’s + 4-year DPM)

To earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the Department of Physical Therapy, Accelerated Program students must meet the following minimum requirements:

To earn a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) Degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Accelerated Program students must meet the following minimum requirements:

    

90 course credits as detailed under the agreement (students pursuing a Kinesiology major must complete 97 credits)

A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.5 An undergraduate science GPA of 3.4 GRE scores as specified by the DPT program Volunteer exposure to the health care profession

    

90 course credits as detailed under the agreement A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 An undergraduate science GPA of 3.0 MCAT score as specified by TUSOPM Volunteer exposure to the health care profession
